Getting your pH right is important to growing, in order to maximise nutrient uptake and give your plants the best chance. Ideal pH sits between 5.5-6.5 for most plants. Temperature can also affect the plant's growth rate, and you should be aiming for between 18-22°C.

Conductivity and pH are connected. When preparing a new nutrient solution, you'll need to add the appropriate amount of nutrients according to the plants' needs. Once you’ve checked the conductivity (EC or PPM), which confirms whether the nutrient levels are correct, you'll then need to regularly adjust the pH to ensure those nutrients are available to the plant.
