Hoya dasyantha - ADVANCED 13cm pot

Hoya dasyantha is a tropical vining plant native to Southeast Asia, prized for both its striking blooms and impressive foliage. Its thick, glossy green leaves can grow up to 15 cm long, and visually look like a dark version of Hoya carnosa. The flowers appear in clusters, typically star-shaped with pale yellow to orange petals and a reddish central crown, often releasing a pleasant fragrance in the evening. Hoya dasyantha is a popular choice for collectors due to its large leaves and showy, scented flowers.

Hoyas are a Plantsmith favourite due to their easy-going nature and diversity (not to mention some of the craziest names around). They are epiphytic plants, meaning they require a well-draining mix in a tighter pot to be happy; only repot in Spring when it is bursting out of its current pot. Find a warm, bright spot for these plants, keeping them indoors over the cooler months, especially in a colder climate. Keep soil on the dryer side over winter and moist in the warmer months.
