This is a child-friendly, pet-friendly, and pet-specific artificial grass with a polyurethane backing, making it 100% synthetic with no latex in sight. Similar to our Pet Luxury 38mm, this backing repels urine instead of absorbing it, stopping your artificial turf from smelling, breaking down, or disintegrating due to the inevitable build-up. Plus, it also prevents any latex-induced allergies for your furry friends.

Soft To The Touch For Paws And Pads

Thanks to its mix of straight polyethylene and curled polypropylene micro-nerve fibres, the pile is extremely dense while remaining soft to the touch. This construction also lowers the risk of the grass blades flattening due to extended use — so your lawn will stay fluffy and comfortable to walk on. Plus, the oval-shaped extrusion also means there’s no uncomfortable spikiness on paws and bare feet.

Installation

• Firstly, our 2m and 4m products match up perfectly, so you can mix and match to get the perfect fit for your outside space. However, our 5m options can’t be used in conjunction with other widths.

• When joining your chosen cuts, always check to make sure that the pile direction runs in the same direction so you get a seamless join.

• We also recommend using a weed membrane (which you can find in our accessories range) for all artificial grass installations. This should be placed underneath your substrate layer instead of directly beneath the turf.

Maintenance

Artificial grass is renowned for its low maintenance. After all, there’s no need to worry about mowing or strimming, and an effective weed membrane should keep unwanted plants at bay.

However, it’s worth noting that a few key actions will keep your Pet Prime 40mm looking — and smelling — its best.

• Pick up any pet mess as soon as possible to prevent odours and staining.
• It’s also helpful to pick up leaves, twigs, and other debris regularly to ensure proper drainage.
• We recommend putting a weekly cleaning schedule in place for general care and considering a more thorough wash once a month.
• Stock up on some pet-friendly artificial grass cleaner to break down any lurking urine odours and give your lawn a refresh.

Our Recommendation: Envirofill 16/39 Pet Infill

Developed with Microban® antimicrobial technology, it can effectively prevent bacteria, mould, and mildew growth. Around 7kg to 8kg of Envirofill granules per square metre is best, resulting in a fresh, odour-free, and healthier outdoor environment.
